Mother's Day is here! I spent some time browsing Pinterest early this morning to get some pinspiration for today's festivities. I love flowers, yummy food, and especially spring fashion! I'm excited to go to my grandma's, set up a cute little dining table, and cook her a yummy breakfast. I'll be taking inspiration from these pictures for my outfit - statement necklaces, messy braids, and high-waisted skirts are definitely all my favorites for today.

Daily Style: Revamped Floral

Mother's Day weekend has finally arrived - and I'm so excited because I get to be home for the weekend with my family. My sister, who goes to school in Florida, comes home for the summer today and I'm beyond excited to have my best friend back! Especially so we can do things like this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ot9QIXb3dnY - all the time. We are going to go to breakfast with my grandma tomorrow morning and then a late lunch to celebrate with my mom. I love making feel people special - I can't wait! 

I've been pretty busy lately with school work and applying to jobs. It feels like I haven't posted in forever! It also seems as if, even though I'm a senior and want to be enjoying my last few weeks of college, I have more work than ever! Applying for jobs is easily the most stressful thing I have ever had to do. Hopefully the hard work will pay off in the end. :)

Anyway, today's outfit was inspired by a mix of Mother's Day and Taylor Swift. The floral pattern of the skirt and "girly-ness" of the whole ensemble make it perfect for the middle of May, on a holiday celebrating the amazing moms in this world. I was listening to Taylor Swift while getting ready and was also inspired by her. It has the vintage casual look she wears during her every day life. Everything is old - shirt, Papaya; shoes, Ross Dress For Less; necklace, Forever21. The skirt is from high school, and over 4 years old, so I don't even remember where I got it. I love finding old pieces in my closet and creating a new outfit with them! It's almost like buying something new, without having to spend money.

Daily Style: Inspired by the 2013 Met Gala

Favorite wedge sneakers 

Today's outfit was inspired by the punk theme of the Met Gala last night. I decided to go all black with gold accents. I chose one of my favorite black shirts with a gold cross on the front (Forever21, similar). I love the high-low part! I paired it with black shorts (old) and my black wedge sneakers (old). I accessorized with gold jewelry, including gold triangle earrings (H&M, similar) and gold bracelets (old). 

Personally, I love wearing all black. It's probably a bad thing how much I love it, but oh well. :)

I love warm days in Philadelphia. It's such a beautiful city when it isn't cold or raining - like it is today and probably tomorrow. Since it was just over 70 degrees yesterday, I used it as a good reason to go grocery shopping and run other errands. I may have not gotten much of my homework done, but at least I was productive in other ways! 

I have a new favorite pair of shorts - this peach floral patterned pair from Forever21! (You can find them here.) High-waisted shorts make my legs feel longer than they usually do, which is good for someone at my height. I paired them with an off-white tank top, my cream colored cardigan from American Eagle, and my gold strapped sandals. Finally I accessorized with long white beaded earrings, an oversized pink and gold ring, and a gold flower bracelet. I love the combination of gold, peach, and the off-white color.
