My Picks: Winter Polish Colors

If there is one thing my sister and I are obsessed with, it's nail polish. Almost every single time we walk into a drugstore, we walk out with a new bottle.

For the winter seasons, I have a few shades that I love to wear. Though they are similar to my favorite fall shades, they are usually darker and/or more neutral than my picks for spring and summer.

Above are the top five colors I'm currently loving this winter.

The first is a shimmery pearl. I like how it is an understated metallic color and matches any outfit that I wear.

The next is a muted gray color. I like this color because its a neutral that also goes with everything. I'm not the biggest fan of winter, so this color also kind of matches my mood - gray - as much as it matches my wardrobe.

Deep red is one of my newest obsessions. I love red nails, but the darkened color really captures me. This particular shade is called "Vixen." I was sold.

Black is my go-to nail color for winter. It is simple while also being a little daring. When I wear it I feel like my nails are making a statement. It's funny to think back to 8th grade when I thought wearing black nail polish was only for "gothic" people!

Finally, to me, a pink shade is always a good option. This one is darker, without being too purple.
